Pekanbaru, ISUETERKININEWS.COM - The land filling project on Jalan Bangau Sakti Panam Pekanbaru resulted in the ditch (drainage*ed) being filled with soil and no water flow was made, right in front of the filling project which until now the land owner is not known.
Journalist monitoring, last Friday (12/20/2024) due to the closing of the ditch/drainage the water flow was blocked. Because in the area it had just rained with high intensity, so that puddles of water were visible up to the upper edge of the ditch not far from the Landfill Project, it was seen that the ditch was deliberately filled for trucks to enter and exit the landfill area causing the water not to flow and the 50-meter Bangau Sakti road section was submerged in water, precisely in the entrance area to the Bumi Mighrab housing complex, as a result residents in the housing complex had difficulty accessing in and out.
When confirmed with the head of RT 01 RW 02, Binawidya Village, Pekanbaru, Zulkarnain confirmed that the ditch filling project had resulted in fatal damage to the road that had just been worked on by the Pekanbaru City Government due to being flooded with water that overflowed onto the road and residents passing by had difficulty getting through the puddles of water.
"In addition to blocking the drainage, the impact of the landfill project also caused damage to the asphalt of Bangau Sakti Street which had just been worked on by the Pekanbaru City Government and the remaining piles of soil along the road for trucks to enter and exit were not cleaned up, resulting in dust when the weather was hot and muddy when it rained. This landfill project did not have an environmental permit from the local RT, "They didn't even ask for permission to go to the RT," said Zulkarnain angrily.
"Several residents around the location expressed their protest because the road access was flooded, making it difficult for my residents and outsiders to cross the flooded road and I asked the Law Enforcement Officers (APH) to take action against the bad actions carried out by certain workers and land owners who have never appeared until now. I have also reported this to the Binawidya Sub-district Head and asked the APH Satpol PP Pekanbaru to take action," requested Zulkarnain.
"We ask that this act of filling the drainage be immediately prosecuted. We support development carried out by private entrepreneurs but in accordance with the rules and not harming other parties," said Zulkarnain.
A similar thing was conveyed by a Binawidya resident with the initials NSR, asking the landfill contractor and landowner to be responsible for the damage to the road that had just been worked on by the Pekanbaru City Government, "The Bangau Sakti Road project has just been completed by the contractor, but because one of the landowners in Bangau Sakti closed the ditch, the newly paved road became full of holes, how could it not be, the 50-meter puddle of water not only damaged the road, but also made it difficult for us who pass by every day, we thought that after the road was repaired by the City Government we could enjoy the results of the Pekanbaru City Government's work, where in the road repair that we had been waiting for and anticipating for a long time, it was damaged for a moment because of the actions of the landfill perpetrators, the city government must be firm in taking action against these individuals, this is very disturbing for residents and we ask the Satpol PP together with the local Environmental Stakeholders to take firm action and impose sanctions, they must dig the filled ditch and repair the damaged road", NSR emphasized to the media.
"If it is not improved in a short time, then the residents will take action together with the local RT and RW," he said.
